How to setup a wifi router ?

Configuring a WiFi router can vary depending on the specific make and model of the router, but here are some general steps that you can follow:

Connect the router to your modem:

Most routers come with an Ethernet cable that you can use to connect the router to your modem. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the modem and the other end into the WAN (Internet) port on the router.

Power on the router:

Plug the power adapter into the router and an electrical outlet.

Connect a computer to the router:

Use another Ethernet cable to connect your computer to one of the LAN ports on the router.

Access the router's web-based setup page:

Open a web browser and type the router's IP address into the address bar. This is usually printed on a label on the bottom of the router or in the router's manual. Enter the default username and password to log in. If you don't know the default login credentials, you can usually find them in the router's manual or by searching online for the specific make and model of the router.

Configure the wireless network:

Once you're logged into the router's web-based setup page, you can configure the wireless network. You'll need to choose a name for your network (also known as an SSID) and set a password. You can also configure other settings, such as the security mode, channel, and broadcast range.

Save your settings:

Once you've configured your wireless network, be sure to save your changes.

Test the wireless network: After you've saved your changes, disconnect the Ethernet cable from your computer and test the wireless network by connecting a WiFi-enabled device to the network and browsing the internet.

These are the basic steps to configure a WiFi router. Keep in mind that the specific steps may vary depending on the make and model of your router. If you're unsure of how to configure your router, consult the manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance.
