 ONU Configuration - Excitel

To configure the ONU, the supervisor will guide the user to open the ONU’s page. Checking the configuration becomes important when the user says he has made some changes in the settings too. For that also, we need to open the ONU’s page.

ONU Reset Cases Handling:

While doing NC TS, the agent can probe the user to confirm whether the device has been reset or not by asking the following questions:

  1. Ask if the user has pressed reset button on his device.

  2. Confirm if the wifi name that the user is connecting to is same or not.

  3. Confirm the LEDs status on the device (in this case, most of the times the internet LED is off and PON is on)

  4. Sometimes users themselves inform that they have reset the device.

Once we know that the device has been reset, the agent mentions the same information in the ticket and assign the ticket to the supervisor team.

The supervisor then checks the configuration by logging into the ONU’s page and reconfigures the ONU.

If required, only the supervisor has the access to reset and reconfigure the ONU.
